Hello and welcome to our web site. The Cowgirl Way is a high-speed equestrian drill team that participates in Rodeo Grand Entries, flag presentations, parades, performances, and fundraisers. Drill is a fun and exciting way of riding and requires great horsemanship, timing and trust of your team members. The horses adapt well once they know the routine.
Our group has made it their mission to help women with breast cancer. We were very fortunate to find a group called BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS founded by Heather Gilbert. Since 2000 we have raised over $25,000 to help this very worthy cause. We also participate in community service around the city of Norco, and promote the adoption of BLM Wild Mustangs.
We manage to enjoy trailing riding in our spare time and love to take the horses camping with us. The lovely city of Norco has miles of trails along the Santa Ana River and up in the foothills. All the streets have trails so you can spend the day riding around town. The local restaurants all have hitching posts out front so you can stop for lunch. Every April Norco celebrates Horse Week. The festivities start out with a Rodeo and Parade. The Cowgirl Way has been running the sponsor flags and carrying them in the parade since 2001. Other activities for this week include a chili cook off, beard contest, horseshoe tournament, Bingo night, Obstacle Course, Adult Fun night, Kids fun night, and much, much more. This is truly a unique town "Horse Capital of the World." You can learn more about our awesome town by going to their web site at http://www.norco.ca.us/.
